Campfire Recipe
| Mama's Down-Home Molasses Orange Barbeque Sauce |
Make sure you use cast iron cookware when cooking over an open fire. Other types of cookware can't take the heat. They'll scorch and you'll ruin your pots.
1 can Tomato soup
1C. catsup
1/2 C. molasses
1/2 C. vinegar
1/2 C. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 C. vegetable oil
1 small onion minced
1T. season salt
1T. dry mustard
1T. Worcestershire sauce
1T. orange peel
1 1/2 t. paprika
1/2 t. pepper
1/4 t. garlic powder
Combine all ingredients in your cast iron sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes. Delicious! |
