General Information

 | Lift A Logs have a hinged jaw that is controlled by a pistol-grip handle. |
These tools are sturdy folks--they are designed to be used in a wood-burning fireplace, stove or outside in a campfire.
Each Lift A Log can handle logs up to 6 inches in diameter, approximately 16 inches in length and weighing 12 pounds or less without bending or breaking. Of course we had to set some limits and a 12-pound log is about it. Don't go for anything larger. Also please don't leave the tool in the fire for an extended time. Touch only the wooden handle and grip after the tool has been in the fire. The grabber end really gets HOT!
When used properly it will allow the person using it to stand erect at the proper distance from the fire and avoid being burned. Improper usage can result in burns or a possible fire outside the fireplace, stove or campfire and we don't want that to happen. | |
